In John 5 the Jewish religious leaders were confronting the very giver of life and final judge with their petty religious rules. They wouldn’t believe His Word and even opposed Him. But for all who believe in Jesus verse 24 is a promise: “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.”
